- The new back door Bill custom made for our house has been hung! Check out the updated Crafting A Door post to see how it was made. It's a little hard to tell from the photos, but it offers a new friend for our stand of live oaks, makes the little back hallway its own special place, and brings all of our renovations together in a wonderful way.
- If you love to check out great doors, make certain to vote on paint company and color experts - Farrow & Ball's Great Outdoors Competition. There are so many wonderful ones, it was hard to decide. Speaking of doors - I am supposed to be finally getting my custom wooden back door from Bill this weekend. Cannot wait to share pictures of the final product.

- Allow me some bragging. Here is a Youtube video of my mother speaking last July about her solo exhibition of new drawings at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA). She spends the first 5 minutes minutes talking about the show's title - An Absence of Certainty and then the next 7.5 minutes she starts talking about her process of making art. - Check out The Urban Electric Company's great Made in America movies. There are multiple segments - one which captures the spirit and the emphasis on details of the people set to music and one which tells you a bit more about the company and the people handmaking their products. The Urban Electric Co. is a North Charleston designer and custom manufacturer of lighting. Just another example example of how the Charleston area is full of craftspeople and creatives who make wonderful things.
